Ingredients
  

Speedy French Toast

  • 2 pieces bread slices
  • 1/2 Table Spoon Low-fat Butter softened
  • maple syrup
  • Powdered SUgar (Optional)
  • fruits (slices), (Optional)

Instructions
 

  • Toast two bread slices until browned and crisp.
     
  • Slather 1/2 tablespoon softened low-fat butter on each side. Pour maple syrup or honey on top.
  • When you do have time to make the real thing, try these variations:
     
     
     
  • Sprinkle powdered sugar over slices of French toast and serve with slices of your favorite fruits.
     
     
  • Fill two slices of French toast with 2 to 3 crisp bacon slices and 1 scrambled egg, and pour syrup all over. 
     
  • Slice French toast into “sticks.” Serve with jam or honey-yogurt dressing on the side for dipping. (To make honey-yogurt dip: Mix plain yogurt with honey; sweeten as desired.
     
     
  • Sandwich a slice of dark chocolate between 2 slices of French toast and toast in a panini press.
