Ingredients
Tofu and Mushroom Teriyaki Ingredients
- 1 Cup store-bought teriyaki sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger grated
- 6 to 8 dried shiitake mushrooms rehydrated, drained, and sliced lengthwise
- 2 300 gram blocks Japanese firm tofu quartered
- Salt
- 4 stalks green onion sliced into 1-inch strips
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds toasted
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Instructions
- Combine teriyaki sauce, 1/2-cup water, ginger, and mushrooms in a small saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 5 to 8 minutes. Set aside.
- Preheat a grill pan over medium heat. Season tofu with salt and pepper. Grill tofu on all sides, about 8 to 10 minutes.
- Transfer tofu to a serving dish. Pour teriyaki-mushroom sauce over. Sprinkle with chives and sesame seeds, if desired. Drizzle with sesame oil. Serve immediately.
