We all know by now that our rice farmers need all the help they can get. The rice tarrification law is endangering the livelihood of our farmers quicker than actual good can be seen from it. What we can do? Directly help our farmers to enable them to survive through these tough times. Thankfully, Session Groceries and UNESCO Club-UPLB, are separately working to help connect us directly to farmers.
The UNESCO Club-UPLB (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization Club of the University of the Philippines Diliman) are working together to create a market for Isabela’s rice farmers. When you buy rice from UNESCO Club-UPLB, all proceeds will go to the farmers to make up for their loss.
