WATCH: This Local Ice Candy Business Wants To Help Nanays

Nay's Ice Candy wants to pay it forward.

Spending summer in the Philippines during one’s youth always involves cheap thrills like indulging in ice candy. It usually doesn’t cost more than P10 per piece, comes in different flavors, and it’s always such a good treat to fight off the heat during summer.

Nay’s Ice Candy, a wordplay on the word nanay (mother) and the song “Ice Ice Baby”, is a local ice candy business that’s not just about the delicious iced dessert that it sells. Nay’s Ice Candy co-founder Maike Gatbonton shares with Yummy.ph how their business also helps nanays have a sustainable livelihood.
